The university is one of the key universities under the "211 Project" and "985 Project" of China, with the Siming Campus, Zhangzhou Campus, Xiang'an Campus and Malaysia Campus, six academic departments, 34 colleges (directly under the department, directly under the centre) and 17 research institutes.
