Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) is the first institution of higher education in foreign languages established after the founding of New China, and is a national key university under the "211 Project" and "World-class Discipline Construction University". There are 45 undergraduate majors, including 31 language majors and 14 non-language majors; 7 master's degree authorisation points of first-level disciplines: foreign languages and literature, political science, applied economics, education, Chinese language and literature, journalism and communication, business administration.
